City of Angels returns to the West End, as the Donmar Warehouse’s award-winning production transfers to the Garrick Theatre in 2020.
A tribute to film noir, City of Angels follows dual paths; the life of Stine, a writer trying to get his novel turned into a screenplay, alongside the story of the film itself. While his movie plays out in black and white, Stine’s new life among the Hollywood elite is all-too colourful.
The 2014 Donmar production was nominated for five Olivier Awards in 2015, winning Best Musical Revival and Best Lighting Design.
